Over the last few months I was introduced to the powerful and convenient benefits of juicing. Simple, refreshing and energy has gone thru the roof. I try not to buy into hype but why else would top celebrities and athletes be chugging down this pure supercharged nutrition?? So I am super stoked that I gave it a try… now I’m drinking the amount of an average American’s weekly vegetable and fruit in one big delicious glass. The most common advice that I recommend to people looking to improve their health is simple, EAT MORE REAL FOOD! Raw and enzyme rich preferably! Of course I hear all of the excuses: “I don’t have the time” “I don’t know how to get them” I’m allergic” I’m too lazy” “I love being out of shape and sluggish”

Whats in my juice?
I always go for a bulk amount of greens for the alkalizing benefit along with tall of the powerful chlorophyll to load up on magnesium, iron, vitamin A and B’s… My juice usually has a base of:
Apple: High in fiber, it helps lower cholestrol, an ideal antioxidant, immune system booster and also aids in cleaning the digestive system. Along with a nice energy boost and masks the taste of the rest of the veggies.
Beets: Loaded with vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and C. The greens have a higher content of iron compared to spinach. They are also an excellent source of calcium, magnesium, copper, phosphorus, sodium and iron. Great blood building and cancer fighting properties
Carrot: Rich in beta carotene and Vitamin A for eye health. Good for gastrointestinal health, helps cure stomach and digestive problems. Cures heart burn.
Celery: contains vitamin C and several other active compounds that promote health, help lower cholesterol and also may be useful in cancer prevention. Excellent for cleansing the digestive system of uric acid . Useful for people with Gout and urinary infections. Celery juice also helps calm the nerves and reduces stress.
Cucumber: Water based cucumber juice is a good source of potassium, beta carotene, silicon, sulfur, sodium and phosphorus. Its a Diuretic, provides healthy nutrients to the skin, soothe skin irritations, reduce swelling under the eyes and sun burns
Garlic: The health benefits of garlic revolve around its anti-microbial effect, its antibiotic and immune enhancing ability and its many anti-oxidants.
Ginger: The health benefits of ginger are endless. They have properties rich in anti-oxidant,
anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer; providing natural cure to numerous disorders. Helps stomach discomfort, colds, fatigue, and inflammation.. all while being an aphrodisiac!
Kale: Good source of vitamin C, A, iron and calcium. Very alkalizing and blood cleansing
Spinach: Good source of iron, folate and beta carotene.
And I’ll add in some spirulina for some additional plant based protein… ultimate superfood. Most commonly I will be on the go and drop in a juice bar like whole foods and ask for all of the veggies.
On top of a surge of energy.. I noticed that my cravings for snacks and food in general are much more controllable!

Can I save more time and buy bottled juice??

Even when preservatives are not added to commercial juices, vital enzymes that are needed for your body to digest and absorb the juice have been lost. Fresh quality juices are delivering a minimally processed nutritional value that is much more dense and 10x stronger than standard juices.
